The Add-Sync button is used to make things temporarily transparent so that you can fix things. It's designed to work on normal models so when you use it on an effects type .x file sometimes you get odd results. Normally, you want this option OFF.
As for it going white when you're making it go transparent, that's usually a sign that the effect and your system don't like each other.
There are two types of mirror effects. Their behavior is slightly different but the end results are the same. Sometimes if one doesn't work, the other might so you might want to try that route.
The two types are:
MirrorWF
WorkingFloor2
The first is the original, the latter came later. Both work as they're suppose to on my lame laptop so they should work on yours, but the effects are kind of dated and it is just possible that your equipment is too modern for the coding leading to incompatibilities.

oh okay, so I just have to keep it off. thank you! I think the problem with the add-sync button is solved.
and maybe you could look at this? xkasumixmonster.deviantart.com… this are some screenshots that I made from what I get when I change the tr. I think there's someting with the draw order bc i'ts transparent in the renders but I don't know what's wrong but maybe you can see it.
and I'm going to try mirrorwf if this problem can't be solved but I prefer workingfloor2 or maybe downloading an older version of MMD/MME ^^

Typically, you won't see the floor under the mirror if your draw order stack is incorrectly sorted. Read this if you have no idea what I'm talking about: MMD Understanding MMD Draw Order

So! This /was/ working perfectly for me, but all of a sudden, the transparency won't work correctly. It did at first, then it just went. If I make it transparent, the floor goes cloudy white (or black if I have the black background on) Is there any way to fix this at all?

Does the reflections still work? Not sure why the transparency option isn't working though; most likely cause is your graphics card throwing a fit. Did you change the driver or something?

Nope. I was trying to render a video (multiple times), but it constantly froze. It was that UT HD video thing?? Ever since that, it hasn't been working properly.

That doesn't sound good. Might want to take your PC down to your local repair shop. Something sounds broken...

You know, that looks suspiciously like your draw order list is wrong.

Make sure you draw the mirror floor last. If you need a more detailed explanation, there's a tutorial in my tutorials gallery that explains in details how the MMD draw order stack works and how to arrange your draw order lists.

I'm having a bit of a problem trying to figure out how to do this with a pmx model. I saw something about the draw order but I have no idea I to make the affect come after the pmx

This is because your graphics card does not support the effect.

Trackdancer In reply to RyuuIsCool [2015-12-10 23:07:43 +0000 UTC]
Not much you can do except to get a better graphics card or use a more powerful PC. MMEs are like that, they work on most systems but not all, so even for me, there's a ton of effects that do not work.

Change the Tr value in the Accessory Manipulation panel.
Tr=1 ~ solid
Tr=0 ~ totally transparent
So anything in between (eg. Tr=0.5) is transparent.

Um, i have a question. so, i loaded a stage and then the working floor v2 and it was automaticly(did i spell it right?) have the effect, but... the problem is, the stage is big, and the working floor is small, it won't go further on the axis. it only stays in the axis. could you help me with this? sta.sh/01msv04tb822 sta.sh/02uco44n7in

The working floor model can be resized using the Si value at the bottom of the Accessory Manipulation panel.

Okay, so I have this problem with reactive surfaces coming up as white or grey. Does anyone have a way of fixing that?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Trackdancer In reply to SilverWoods246 [2015-07-16 20:35:07 +0000 UTC]
This is either because your PC doesn't support the effect or you need to sort out the model draw order.

Can u make a tutorial about making a split skirt physic such as Luka skirt i don't know how but some one can make her skirt physic split! When i use skirt plugin it not split!

Trackdancer In reply to Sangabc [2015-05-29 17:23:53 +0000 UTC]
There's a pretty good tutorial on using the skirt plugin around already. Personally I've never actually use the plugin as I don't like the way it does things. But splitting the skirt is fairly easy even with the plugin. Simply delete the physics and bone structures that are not needed. Some reweighting might be necessary, but that would only be a minor complication.

The skirt plugin tutorial is hosted somewhere here on DA, just go search for it. Should be easy to find as it is listed in the tutorials galleries of many MMD groups.

how to make the floor shine, like the whole floor, a floor that is also reflecting the furniture not only the models using working floor effect
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Trackdancer In reply to ARTonette [2015-05-02 19:34:25 +0000 UTC]
The effect only reflects PMD and PMX models. To get furniture to reflect, convert them to either PMD or PMX format in the PMD Editor.
Alternatively use an actual mirror on the floor. But this is problematic too as the mirror surface is quite small and scaling up the mirror doesn't help due to pixelation setting in. You have to make your own mirror and apply the effect to it. If you're familiar with MMD modeling and manipulating MME effects this is easy to do, if you're not well, just go with the approach outlined above.

Works fine on most systems; sounds like you're out of luck as it has been reported by others that the effect doesn't work on their PCs either.
