APPOLON THEMES BY ZEUSosX12 - November - 2010 latest upload adding + 3 NEW visual styles / Themes.

15 - October - 2010 , upload in which some minor things remade, as the background image of progress bar.
------------
12 - July - 2010, upload in which some minor bugs eliminated, such as in the preview [pane] of a photo or of a game .
+ 1 extra transparent theme/visual style [named x] , which has No Bold Font style in most areas , special for people who want using clear type off methods.

APPOLON THEMES are mac osx style themes for windows 7.
They have 24 pixel height taskbar.
That means that everytime you log in to your system, taskbar not becomes bigger[like happened to 22pixels smaller in original osx style dimentions, themes i made on past]
Also i have added a folder with special made folders that can be pin to taskbar, also there are foldrers invisible which can give free space in taskbar and also other folders which are looking like vertical separators, so for using the big size taskbar at the bottom of desktop as a dock replacement, as many of u ask me those 2 things.
[24 pixel small taskbar at top of desktop + big size dock style when we set it at the bottom of desktop].
Names and styles of Themes:
Dion,- 4 versions ---> transparent
Alexander, - 4 --> brushed
Leopard - 4 --> gray
in each style that has number I (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion I ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, and a designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number II (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion II ) --> no visible folderband, BUT with addressbar image,and NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number III (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion III) --> Visible folderband, and with addressbar image in eand NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
each style that has number IIII (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion IIII ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, BUT IT HAS some pseudo buttons in the place of addressbar so to look like MAC Finder, though its only design, without fuctionality as also the designed button at the corner of titlebar.

Themes Name story.
IN ancient and in nowdays Hellenic (=Greek) [Active CODE] language, every letter, and every word is a specific number, and it has a specific meaning.
In Greek and Roman mythology, Apollo [link] (in Greek, Ἀπόλλων—Apóllōn or Ἀπέλλων—Apellōn), is one of the most important and diverse of the Olympian deities. The ideal of the kouros (a beardless youth), Apollo has been variously recognized as a god of light and the sun; truth and prophecy; archery; medicine, healing and plague; music, poetry, and the arts; and more. Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, and has a twin sister, the chaste huntress Artemis.
So the name of the THEME choosen from Hellenic = GREEK language and civilization.

I N S T R U C T I O N S
There are on this download, Themes and visual styles that can be used on all versions of windows 7. (32 and 64bit)

These visual styles have made to be worked with my system files i have made and exist in my Macos X for Windows 7.
The navigation buttons exist to explorerframe.dll, the apple start orb to explorer.exe and the icons to imageres.dll and to shell32.dll.
also when forinstance we select a folder as 'icon',we have separate mouse over image for the folder and other image for the text and when we select a folder as 'details' we can have stripes, and mouse over images like mac os X , blue hover and white text, with additional code i have made and add to system files.
so if you have a Windows 7 32 bit system download my:

if you have a Windows 7 64 bit system download my:

and follow also very carefully the instructions of them , but use the wallpapers and Themes and visual styles from this pack.

so here : UNZIP the file.
first go to Control pane [view by category] -->so Go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window Never Notify. restart. do all your changes in code that u want.
[install uxcore application which enables non microsoft themes to be working to your windows 7 system, or before changing any system files]
(when you finish everything is written in instructions, after the installation of system files or any application needed then again go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window to Default or to whatever u like, then restart.)
1. To use the visual styles ( mstyle) , you must install a small application, download from [link] .
Credits goes to Rafael Rivera for this amazing work. Then restart your system.
2. Copy the folder 'OS X Cursors' , to C:\Windows\Cursors .
Copy the 'Mac os X Wallpapers' of this pack to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper.
Copy the 'Mac os X sounds' of this pack to C:\Windows\Media .
3. Copy all the folders included in the folder 'THEMES 24 PIXEL HEIGHT TASKBAR BY ZEUSosX' [after unzip all files, and copy them to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes , provided C is your Windows drive).
These new visual styles/themes have biger TASKBAR, 24 pixels height , so it works fine when we log in, though its 2 pixel bigger than original osx.
Also the shape of taskbar has changed in a mode that also taskbar can be used as a dock to the down side of the desktop.
Open there ["C:\Windows\Resources\Themes"] and choose the theme name you like, select it, double clik tand thats it.
4. Go to Desktop Personalize & apply the theme you preffer.
5. Copy the folder TASKBAR'S FOLDERS to C:\
Then drag with your mouse any of the folders exist to yoyr taskbar for 'PIN' each you choose.
There are some folders having shape of separator so you can divide your taskbar to sections. **********
Also you can remove from your taskbar if u want the clock and date from the right part of it doing this:
right clik to taskbar/properties/customize/Turn system icons on or off ---> set clock off , also set any other you want to off position.

Tips

-1. For having to the left side the min, max, close buttons, use please leftsider. [link]
-2. For having close the min,max,close buttons an Ave's application needed CloseButtonChanger needed, (login to [link] ) , transparent and brushed styles will use number : 1.3 , leopard styles will use number : 1.4 .
-3. ADDING SHadows effect around your Window.
For having shadows and have better of the theme looking, please use YzShadow [link]
For the Gray (leopard) styles when using Yz shadow its better to follow the values i give you. [link] , for the rest themes [link] [link] [link] also with YzShadow you can have transparent menus ,to any of my themes following my values : [link]
-4. The windows 7 system behaviour to 24 pixel (small icon) taskbar is applicable!

-5. I have visual styles with no looking Folderband [is the toolbar that it has Buttons Commands like 'Organise', 'System Properties' etc] and other with always appearing Folderband. How to stop the music playing when you enter the Login Screen of window :
right clik to desktop/personalization/sounds select it , a small window appear, there is a small button and the text near by says : Play Window Start up Sound , deselect the button, thats it, restart.

MAKING SOME APPLICATION WHICH DOES NOT START WITH THE START OF WINDOWS, ENABLE TO START.
[ATTENTION, DO THIS ONLY IF YOU TRUST THOSE APPLICATION]
FOR leftsider, or Yz Shadow for example
For starting with windows start up , go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and select show hidden files and folders. then go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and add a shortcut of the leftsider or Yz Shadow
then go again go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and deselect show hidden files and folders.
(do the same for any other application, but only if you trust it, and does not automatically work with the start up of windows) [if you want also to uninstall an application , like leftsider and reinstall a new version of it, you have first go to "C:\Users\[enter your username here]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\" and delete the folder called "leftsider" = delete the folder with the name of the application , in this case current "leftsider".]

Conditions of using

1. do not change border padings.
2. do not change font size (leave it 96 dpi font size).
3. for close distance between close,min,max buttons Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger needed. [link]
4. for adding shadows effect around your Windows, needed the freeware controlable application YzShadow. [link]
5. the stack on taskbar, in screenshot is StandaloneStack 2 , download from [link]
6. For having EXPOSE style effect !!! :
for aero style only : Download Switcher from [ [link] ]
for basic style only : Download WinExposé from [ [link] ] ,
these kind EXPOSE style programs are giving the sense of osx using style, you can see all windows you have added to your desktop at once and with a clik to choose any window of them as the active one !
if you use the smaller size taskbar at the top of the desktop then you can make the looking of the right side of windows 7 taskbar as possible as mac os x right side of taskbar, without changing any system files.

also if you use the smaller size taskbar at the top of the desktop then you can use alternatively docks like RK Launcher [link] or [link] or use RocketDock [link] or any aternative u like.

Hola. Creo que ya he solucionado el problema. Me ha parecido entender que a la contestación que he recibido por tú parte, es qué, tengo que deshablitar la composición de Escritorio (Control Panel ->Advance Settings->System Properties ->Opciones avanzadas -> Rendimiento (Efectos visuales). He deshabilitado
"Composición de escritorio" y los botones se posicionan en su lugar, pero al mover ventanas dejan un halo, solución, dehabilitar "Mostrar contenido de la ventana mientras se arrastra". Por ahora es la mejor solución, Windows solo lo utilizo por razones musicales, culquier distribución de Linux le da 100 patadas a Windows, pero ese es otro tema.
Otra cosa que sucede utilizando leftsider ,es qué, algunas aplicaciones que tienen botón de menú se mezclan los botones con el icono de menú, supongo que esto ya es más complicado.
Y para terminar, como tengo que hacer para cambiar el color blanco del del sistema, he probado con ResHacks y ResTuner para cambiar colores (para que sea todo con tonos más suaves a la vista) es que tanto blanco me mata, pero nada de nada, ya sé, pido mucho.

Hello. I believe that I have already solved the problem. It has seemed to me to understand that to the response that I have received for your part, it is what, I have that deshablitar the composition of Office (Control Panel-> Advance Settings-> System Properties-> advanced options-> Yield (visual Effects). I have disabled
" Composition of Desktop " and the buttons posicionan in his place, but on having moved windows, allow an aura (halo), solution, to disable " To show content of the window while it crawls ". For the time being it is the best solution, alone Windows used it for musical reasons, any distribution of Linux gives 100 kicks to Windows, but this is another topic.
Another thing that happens using leftsider, is what, some applications that have button of menu mix the buttons with the icon of menu, I suppose that this is already more complicated.
And to end, since I have to do to change the white color of that of the system, I have tried with ResHacks and ResTuner to change colors (so that it is quite with softer tones at sight) the fact is that so much target kills me, but nothing at all, I know already, ask very much.

leftsider has not a list of ecceptional programs such as paint, and min,mac,close buttons mixed with buttons of the aplication, same hapened to the latest version of opera [which i dislike] etc.
about white color, if you mean that of control panel can change if you change parameters of the code of the visual style, if you mean explorer also can be made by several modes.
[see some experiments i made on past (1 year before) [link] ]
but i am too tired, for doing anything new, and propably this was my last major work for windows[i dont know if find time for a possible small update, though i dont think so]

Hola, para empezar genial.
tengo una duda con los efectos Aero. Si estan conectado Aero fx los botones de la ventana quedan desplazados más de 1'05 cm.
Si se desconectan los FX se colocan en su sitio en la esquina. ¿Hay alguna solución para poder desplazar los botones y que queden
en la posición correcta?, utilizando FX de escritorio evidentemente.

I have a doubt with the effects Aero. If Aero fx is connected the buttons of the window remain displaced more than 1'05 cm.

i didnt understand , but for problems to aero effects go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting, go to Apeearance and Personalization and select it. or go to next and select Display Aero Desktop effects and select it.

looks ok but has room for improvement... take Dion I for example... this one is missing the opened state of buttons on the taskbar...I've got several apps pinned down on the taskbar... how can I tell which one is opened if I don't hover my mouse over them it if they're not highlighted? I can't!
also missing a shadow behind the text on the title bar of application windows, cause on a darker wallpaper, you can't read the title bar.
The min/max/close buttons could be sharper... now they just look washed up... also a graphite style osx theme would be great... had enough of that deep blue.

all themes/visual styles i made hasame taskbar.
about hover mouse this was in my plants to do.[though i left the style with the two separators at the sides left and right when mouse over in taskbar.]
if i set a shadow behind the text on the title bar of application it would be so unglie [see it in aero] . your idea is right , i have made look some of my experiments on past for vista, though its not beautifull because we can not have something like the text which we have in our desktop folders text.
min/max/close buttons could be sharper, but i did not find them so much bad. [latest osx style /snow leopard/ has this kind of lighter colors in min/max/close buttons, the macosx ones i made have the older leopard style darker ones.]
also a graphite style or styles with orange mouse over folders text [instead of blue ]etc could be made, though i am very tired, i have some problems in health with my eyes, so this was propably my last major work for the world of windows, and this year [january 2009 - january 2010] i tried just to transport my osx style visual styles that i made for vista to windows 7 and i designed very little things. my major work was to change the code [link] , first time in the history of windows we can have mac osx behaviour , via new code lines i made with maximum compatibility, as possible.

well i just tried to 'realease' windows 7 users from the pre made [slave] personalization that microsoft gives to windows users.
for having stripes, icons, separate etc, you must first download and replace system files from my Macos X for Windows 7 [link] .
this work is unique, there is nothing similar in the world of windows, when foristance we select a folder as 'icon', we have separate mouse over image for the folder and other image for the text or when we select a folder as 'details' we can have stripes, and mouse over images like mac os X , blue hover and white text . etc etc
code by me, my explorer crashed hundred thousand times before i found code that works very well with no problem.

I updated from your first 32 bit w7 theme to this one and when i try to use this themes, or even the old ones(un-updated the theme), it will give me the win98 scheme! how can i fix it!!! i want a solution cause i admire your themes!

this is not any mistake of u i suppose.
what usually happen is this.
some specific microsoft updates make the uxcore utility [the small application that enables your system using 3rd party visual styles/themes , like mines] stop working.
now becarefull you have not reinstall.
if you do its possible the problem remained.
So, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features amd UNINSTALL first the uxcore application, then restart.
now INSTALL uxcore application, then restart.
i hope then you have no problem.

i use the native microsoft ones [od aero] at the most, so that means u dont like segoeui (microsoft made). so :
you can do this, right clik to your desktop, personalize, windows color, select Advanced appearance settings , a small window open, then select there in the category of item , where is written Desktop, left clik to it, then select for example Active title bar , then go to where is written Font: Segoe UI , left clik and select whatever u want. do for any item the same.

the reason that i did not use natively mac osx style fonts, is that in some languages, in some parts [for example to buttons] the text if u use a mac font goes out of order [out of the button] or cut it [sometimes even in english that happened] , so i did not change much the original microsoft ones [only in some parts i used Lucida Sans Unicode]

also you can set the fonts not to be bold following :'right clik to your desktop, personalize, windows color, select Advanced appearance settings , a small window open, then select there in the category of item , where is written Desktop, left clik to it, then select for example Active title bar , then go to where is written Font: Segoe UI and to the right part of the window deselect the bold button[if it is selected].
do this to any category [of 'item'] you like.
the reason that i made bold font looking are:
1. i personaly preffered [as also last year have problems with eyes, so this was + 1 more reason for using]
2. my themes work [see ] only in normal size.
so to high resolution monitors a bold font looks more visible.
we can not just use bigger size [not bold] normal font as to other languages than english, [but also in english, in some parts] the text will be out of order, out of limits.
but you can customize somehow the fonts with the method i described.

the only application i use to my system is Yz shadow, sometimes in some partitions i use also expose effect.
2 applications, nothing more.
also with those visual styles i made here no need for a 3rd party dock, if that also a problem in cpu.
but to my instructions i give many options for people like to do more modifications to their system.
i think Yz shadow a very wise application, and not too much for a control able modification like this.
infact u need only Yz shadow. nothing more [specially if u use a netbook]
