MAC OS X STYLE SHADOWS !!!! * * * arround the borders, a work with alot of difficulties, specially for the no borders (safari NAMED) style themes.
alot of styles have open folderband in a new style designed for first time, with shorter in height distances and with to some of them new code addded so we can have white text when mouse over or when mouse pressed.
i do not use Apple fonts , like [except in some cases ] as i think they dont look in windows 7 enviroment so good, and also i do not use the Segoe ui one's as i did to my previews themes, so i decided to make my theme using mainly Arial font as i found better for appearing. [a balance between elegancy and easiness for my eyes].
new progressbars are remade and many many others.
Select the theme, and after you apply it, select it again for second time. [this because sometimes the color borders in windows 7 system does not applied with the first double left clik of the theme. so do it two times, please.)

Themes Name story.
IN ancient and in nowdays Hellenic (=Greek) [Active CODE] language, every letter, and every word is a specific number, and it has a specific meaning.
Apple of Eris is a reference to the Golden Apple of Discord (Greek: μήλον της Έριδος) which, according to Greek mythology, the goddess Eris (Gr. Ερις, "Strife") said that she would give "to the fairest" at the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, sparking a vanity-fueled dispute between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite.. Thus, "apple of discord" became a euphemism for the core, kernel, or crux of an argument, or for a small matter that could lead to a bigger dispute. The Ancient Greek word "μῆλον" also means sheep or goat.[2]. Homer in his Odyssey describes how Odysseus sacrificed two goats (μήλα) when he reaches the underworld[ [link]
So the name of the THEME choosen from Hellenic = GREEK language and civilization.

I N S T R U C T I O N S
There are on this download, Themes and visual styles that can be used on all versions of windows 7. (32 and 64bit)

These visual styles have made to be worked with my system files i have made and exist in my Macos X for Windows 7.
The navigation buttons exist to explorerframe.dll, the apple start orb to explorer.exe and the icons to imageres.dll and to shell32.dll.
also when forinstance we select a folder as 'icon',we have separate mouse over image for the folder and other image for the text and when we select a folder as 'details' we can have stripes, and mouse over images like mac os X , blue hover and white text, with additional code i have made and add to system files.
so if you have a Windows 7 32 bit system download my:

and follow also very carefully the instructions of them , but use the wallpapers and Themes and visual styles from this pack.

so here : UNZIP the file.
first go to Control pane [view by category] -->so Go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window Never Notify. restart. do all your changes in code that u want.
[install uxcore application which enables non microsoft themes to be working to your windows 7 system, or before changing any system files]
(when you finish everything is written in instructions, after the installation of system files or any application needed then again go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window to Default or to whatever u like, then restart.)
1. To use the visual styles ( mstyle) , you must install a small application, download from [link] .
Credits goes to Rafael Rivera for this amazing work. Then restart your system.
2. Copy the folder 'OS X Cursors' , to C:\Windows\Cursors .
Copy the 'Mac os X Wallpapers' of this pack to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper.
Copy the 'Mac os X sounds' of this pack to C:\Windows\Media .
3. Copy all the folders included in the folder 'APPLE OF ERIS THEMES BY ZEUSosX' [after unzip all files, and copy them to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes , provided C is your Windows drive).
These new visual styles/themes have biger TASKBAR, 24 pixels height , so it works fine when we log in, though its 2 pixel bigger than original osx.
Also the shape of taskbar has changed in a mode that also taskbar can be used as a dock to the down side of the desktop.
Open there ["C:\Windows\Resources\Themes"] and choose the theme name you like, select it, double clik tand thats it.
4. Go to Desktop Personalize & apply the theme you preffer.
Please do this 2 times. Select the theme, and after you apply it, select it again for second time. [this because sometimes the color borders in windows 7 system does not applied with the first double left clik of the theme. so do it two times, please.)
5. Copy the folder TASKBAR'S FOLDERS to C:\
Then drag with your mouse any of the folders exist to yoyr taskbar for 'PIN' each you choose.
There are some folders having shape of separator so you can divide your taskbar to sections. **********
Also you can remove from your taskbar if u want the clock and date from the right part of it doing this:
right clik to taskbar/properties/customize/Turn system icons on or off ---> set clock off , also set any other you want to off position.

Tips

-1. For having to the left side the min, max, close buttons, use please leftsider. [link]
-2. For having close the min,max,close buttons an Ave's application needed CloseButtonChanger needed, (login to [link] ) , transparent and brushed styles will use number : 1.3 , leopard styles will use number : 1.4 .
-3. I have visual styles with no looking Folderband [is the toolbar that it has Buttons Commands like 'Organise', 'System Properties' etc] and other with always appearing Folderband. For open the folderband to the styles that is not appeared, please have a look to my Auto-hide Folderband of win 7, [link] where is written SOLUTION FOR WINDOWS EXPLORER , MY COMPUTER WINDOW STYLE. / SOLUTION FOR WINDOWS EXPLORER , WHEN YOU HAVE DETAILS PANE AT THE TOP. etc

How to stop the music playing when you enter the Login Screen of window :
right clik to desktop/personalization/sounds select it , a small window appear, there is a small button and the text near by says : Play Window Start up Sound , deselect the button, thats it, restart.

MAKING SOME APPLICATION WHICH DOES NOT START WITH THE START OF WINDOWS, ENABLE TO START.
[ATTENTION, DO THIS ONLY IF YOU TRUST THOSE APPLICATION]
FOR leftsider, for example
For starting with windows start up , go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and select show hidden files and folders. then go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and add a shortcut of the leftsider
then go again go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and deselect show hidden files and folders.
(do the same for any other application, but only if you trust it, and does not automatically work with the start up of windows) [if you want also to uninstall an application , like leftsider and reinstall a new version of it, you have first go to "C:\Users\[enter your username here]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\" and delete the folder called "leftsider" = delete the folder with the name of the application , in this case current "leftsider".]

Conditions of using

1. do not change border padings.
2. do not change font size (leave it 96 dpi font size).
3. for close distance between close,min,max buttons Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger needed. [link]
4. the stack on taskbar, in screenshot is StandaloneStack 2 , download from [link]
5. For having EXPOSE style effect !!! :
for aero style only : Download Switcher from [ [link] ]
for basic style only : Download WinExposé from [ [link] ] ,
these kind EXPOSE style programs are giving the sense of osx using style, you can see all windows you have added to your desktop at once and with a clik to choose any window of them as the active one !
if you use the smaller size taskbar at the top of the desktop then you can make the looking of the right side of windows 7 taskbar as possible as mac os x right side of taskbar, without changing any system files.

also if you use the smaller size taskbar at the top of the desktop then you can use alternatively docks like RK Launcher [link] or [link] or use RocketDock [link] or any aternative u like.

Hey, I actually forgot to install the visual styles application first after downloading it. after reaching the end of the instructions, then i remembered. However, now it says that the subthemes files have been tampered and it requires them to be restored before it can install. Do you have any way around this? What will i be missing if i do not install the visual styles application?

just a silly question... in the screenshot where it says "Hard Disk Drives"... how do you get it to look like that? Mine is in white text with a green highlight and it really doesnt look that good...
any ideas?

it's not silly question, some systems >= graphic cards, does not shown the colors with accuracy, and specially the semi transparent elements.

I don't know if it's the browser causing the problems or the theme.
In IE9, the navigation buttons are too big, [link]
In Firefox, when in fullscreen mode, the traffic light change to tiny aero max min restore buttons.
In Chrome, when I apply the andriod theme, the traffic lights disappear , [link]

if everything was installed like i descibe in instructions then restart, now set again a theme [double clik to the themes for apply]
i suppose you have set install the themes to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes , provided C is your Windows drive, ok?
sometimes because of microsoft updates the themes are not applied, so as i said restaRT and try once more.
if no solution becomes then because of microsoft updates it is possible universal theme patcher stops working
so restart, if still not working , Uninstalling it first. restart.
install it again. restart . thats it.
those are the most common problems and behaviours.

do you mean the start button? the windows flag one?
there many reasons. perchaps you have changed but because of a microsoft update this had rechanged. so what kind of windows you use , 32 bit or 64 bit ?
are you use SP1 version ? go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System and in that page existed all those informations.
now if we speak about the start button this included to 'explorer' system file.
'explorer' exists to C:\Windows\
before replacing files go to Control pane [view by category] -->so Go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window Never Notify. restart
take permission of the explorer exist to C:\Windows\ then rename it to explorer.old and copy paste the explorer from my pack [depending your system if it is 32 or 64bit]
restart.

I loved this theme and all its feature and sounds. But sometimes even if I don't open any window or screen is idle, some sounds are heard(some windows sounds). Can you tell me how to turn that off?

this is not normal. anyway the sounds are to :
Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization
then select Sounds, a small window opens, in the Sound Scheme there categories , you can select Windows default [or you can customize those Mac osX I have given to you, if you select to anyone you like , for example you choose Purr then go to browse and select which you like]
but it is possible even if you change the sound scheme, those sounds not stopping exist, perchaps because to your pc some works happened which i dont know why.
see also if someone has turn on this , go to :
Control Panel\Ease of Access\Ease of Access Center\Use text or visual alternatives for sounds
but this last is a small posibility.

I sorted out the problem. Some programs or services starts in windows and that was making the sound. So I just stopped the voices for "open" and "close" program. And that worked. Thanks anyways.

can you tell me why the max/min/close button have less quality than the first style you've released for Windows 7?

its not about quality, its about contrast.[depending also your monitor and your regulations to it]
i have made the max/min/close button having less contrast, also snow leopard max, min, close buttons are lighter at the edges of them than the previous versions, that means there better looking in color [that i follow also me design my buttons lighter] but loosing in contrast, specially when we use a transparent window style theme and behind it a white wallpaper, but But if we set to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization\Window Color and Appearance then --> Show color mixer --> then we go to Brightness and we choose the right ammount for having darker or less darker color [depending the color of the wallpapers] the min, max, close buttons are looking ok.
So the first buttons [in designing edges]were more close to leopard the second are more near to snow leopard, lion etc.
i dont know if its good or bad work, but this was my best that i could make under the circomstances.

i realy dont remember , as i have maDE many visual styles. propably because of looking better in a transparent enviroment. look i did not and i do not follow or copy Apple. i love mac os x, not leopard or tiger or whatever but parts of leopard or tiger or ios4 or whatever and i design myself the images so they are different a little or vmore than the orinal Apple use. first of all, Apple does not use transparent windows, they use compact color surfaces so an image doexample search bar image it looks different to a transparent aero enviroment, so i have to design having that 'feeling' [at least what i feel for osx] , but for working to both transparent and compact[depending the style] enviroment.
so in vista because the start menu icon image is takem from the visual style [and not from explorer.exe as in windows 7] i did many expleriments to many styles.
in windows 7 this is not practical, except if you use some small freeware utilities, that enable us to make and use our personal images. but i didnt like to confuse users more with more applications etc
--- so the general anwer to your why, is : experimenting.
i do not remain from Apple to show me what is good for my taste or not. Apple 's people they do amzing work in designing and in wriitting code, i love the idea of os x, the style of it , but i give my version [for windows enviroment , but i could do that in osx enviroment also].

Apple is the Gift of Gods [link] [link] , i do not use it with the biblical meaning or with that Apple 'advertise' ['isaac newton!!!'??????] or 'think'.
APPLE is the given gift from ZEUS . Poet Homeros describes that ZEUS Master of immortal Gods, sends Hermes, god of communication and commerse, with an APPLE to prince of Troia, Paris, who has to choose and give the APPLE to the most important female god. For taking the APPLE, Hera, prommises him Power, Athena, prommises him Wisdom and Aphrodite prommises him Beuty.
Heracles (Hercules) son of ZEUS , has to travel to Esperides ( =far West side World ) win and return to the old World with APPLE of Esperides ( =far West side world ).
APPLE is an important gift for immortal Gods.
As Master of immortal Gods ZEUS Thinks sometimes how to divide them and fight each other, so sends the female god (of anger and division) Eris with an APPLE ( Eris' s APPLE ), put it between them and she dedicate the APPLE to the most important of them , the winner of them.

BY the way the gammadion [link] that many 'lend and used on past' describes the nature of the God, and to the name of ZEUS IN Greek languages describes the 4 beams of tetraktis[The quartet=tetraktis is an area the order of the cosmos.]
in ancient greek history is written, that before Alexander the great goes east to india, before him , Heracles [Hercules , ZEU'S son] had campaigned to east , and also Dionissos [god of wine, and ZEU'S son] before all he had campaigned also to more east[as Also Alexander wanted but his troops not]. This is written for understanding why symbols like those you find around the world. But the 'modern' western educational system is following some other 'directions' becomes from 'policy' and not from science. they found the sanscritic version, but they dont look how and what means, appears and where comes.
