This is so cool... thanks so much; I've been wanting to learn how to color on Photoshop for such a long time. And the simple picture next to the more complicated one helps a lot. I'm not sure how... but it was helpful still! Definitely worth a fav!

This is a great tut!
I seem to be having some trouble at the inverted layer part...I can invert it, but then the next layer I make doesn't show up white...
I'm probably doing something wrong. xD

what was the mistake?
I'm having problems with Invert Layer Mask it doesnt make sense.
I follow the instructions but only makes my picture black.

HEEEEELP!!!
For some strange reason I canΒ΄t do most of the above.
1. If I invert one layermasc it inverts all...
2. Only in the Background-Layer can I use color.
For some strange reason it wonΒ΄t let me use colors in the other layers, only grayscale. I donΒ΄t know why?
3. It wonΒ΄t fill the second layer with black. It only darkens the whole picture, even with opacity to 1 % or 100 %.
I simply donΒ΄t get this Programm... IΒ΄m too dumb...

I'm srry but i get lost after step two i made the next layer and masked it and filled it with black and when i went to color it just colored the outline...i'm lost >W<

~i used this tutorial to color a picture that originally had grey' as the channel, and i changed the mode to RGB, but i couldn't do the last step of this tutorial (color the lines)...
is there any other way to color the lines?
-i also used your smooth lineart tutorial, and changed the mode to RGB, but i think it will come out the same as my last picture did...
