Very great tutorial. The complex drawing next to the simple drawing was a great idea. It really explains a lot by contrast. Very well done. I am going to try that now!

Hi! You just earned yourself an ODD!
congrats! An ODD (Oibyrds Daily Devs) is a little extra spotlight I shine on deviations that I think are really impressive and/or they're not getting the attention they deserve. Please see the link below for all details and do keep in mind that if you prefer NOT to be a feature, just shoot me a note and I'll remove you from the list
Happy holidays!

hiii, sorry to bother you but I have a question about strg + i. what the heck is it? haha. I need to invert the layer mask, and she says to press strg + i and I dont know what that is or how to do it.
I know this comment is like a million years old, but I'm really confused.

I have a question...on step 3 where you do the hair, how'd you get the highlights/shadows to look so pointy and change widths like that.

Abuze In reply to Solsolisdeus [2005-10-20 06:31:10 +0000 UTC]
i do selections with the lasso tool and fill them with the colour- that wasy you get really precise and sharp edges and lines

On step 3, when you're coloring
How do you make sure you don't color out of the lines?

Well I figured out it was STRL Click on the RBG layer to select, but the inverting mask layer stuff will not work...
π: 0 β©: 1
Abuze In reply to xLollirotAngelx [2005-09-15 22:57:18 +0000 UTC]
just click on the layer you want to invert and click strg + i
if you want to invert the layer mask- click on the layer mask and just invert it

tsukkido In reply to Abuze [2007-04-06 19:18:57 +0000 UTC]
; . ;i did that, and it goes " could not complete the invert command because the active layer is empty "
i tried this the first time and it worked...
i cant do it on any other picture...i keep getting stuck at step 2

If you have any free time could you please explain that in more detail?
(i have looked at the other tutorial's comment on masks but i am still confused *_* )
Many thanks
