Eee, this is exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for! All my portraits always end up becoming overly complicated before I've even properly started them so this is a big help.

Well, couple of questions, if you don't mind
A: How long have you been painting for? Including computerised art like this which is frickin' awesome by the way xD
B: Was it hard to do at first? The computerised art i mean.
C: (this is my final question, i promise!) would you be able to do a tutorial on the body part and stuff ie: mainly arms, hands, legs, shoes... u knoww, like the proportions and ect.? I'm doing a full length picture of a girl and i've done the neck, the dress, the legs (kinda. Just adding light shadings) and almost finished the shoes as well as the necklace-waiting on a pink paint to come through this weekend- but i can't get the arms and the hands right :/ i mean, they looked okay, but disproportionate and i had to cover it over in another layer of paint... any tips? x

Why do your strokes look like that of a pencil in Photoshop? My strokes look like black ass lines.

she put the brush on a lower opacity, it causes the sketch affect :3
