ive got a different problem
i have a mesh that is all quads, but one vertex is surrounded by 3 faces, and joins 3 edges
its being a bitch to smooth, and of course edge loops stop at this point as the computer doesnt know which edge to follow
its a bit of a geometrical conundrum, and i cant find a way of fixing it
i may just have to redo that part of the mesh

Ah, this is something I could have used months ago. Sadly I still work with triangles, so some of this is a moot point. I need to graduate to the 21st century.
