I've been using photoshop for a couple of years now and i never even thought about using gaussian blur for the vignette...
This is so easy and so effective it makes me feel stupid!

The fact that it's interactive somehow makes it seem more useful. XD I'm all "I took part in it, I must have learned!"

But really, this is useful! Thanks for making it.

arphot [2010-11-24 02:14:59 +0000 UTC]

Do you need to create a second layer for the border? Otherwise I think the whole image blurs.

Meisaims [2010-11-22 02:16:12 +0000 UTC]

This is useful! I generally just do Lighting Effects - Flashlight and play with the settings until you get a nice dark border, but that isn't always as good because it makes the inside more contrasty!

erraticstudios In reply to Meisaims [2010-11-22 04:17:00 +0000 UTC]

thanks!
yeahh, i used to do that, haha - it can create a bit of an odd circular effect sometimes, so now i just stick to Vignettes. XD
