Description I always wondered where some deviants got those tiny glasses for drinks, shakes or ice cream. In my opinion, buying them is way too expensive, so I thought about a way to make them myself.
Here is my first attempt, I hope it helps you

Thank you for the great TI Graphic Pack I used here.

Thank you very much! And sharing is the only thing to do with those ideas. You get feedback for free, you see people getting inspired by yourself and you have the feeling to have done something good

I've looked at craft store all around by my house and not one place sold mini cups like this and I've been needing some for awhile

*g* Thank you a lot! I guess it takes some practice to make even glasses, but once you found your preferred material (thickness) and pen, it works out quite good

I thought of it as a challenge
The little tripod that came with my camera also helped me a lot keeping the whole thing still...

Cool! i never thought of ding that. Where do you get the packaging stuff?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

geekySquirrel In reply to DeathByViola [2011-02-02 10:21:50 +0000 UTC]

I took some of the packaging from the singstar microphones and then some from the headset packaging I got myself for christmas . Salami packaging is too thin for that

Aww, that's cute! They have some for real cheap on etsy.com if you're ever wondering where to find some. I really like this idea.

geekySquirrel In reply to ChibiWorks [2011-02-01 20:47:59 +0000 UTC]

I found some glasses, but either they're also made of plastic (which means you also can't bake them) or they're made out of glass and too expensive for me to use as a charm or earring (about 8 EUR)...

nenwen-nw In reply to ChibiWorks [2011-02-01 16:36:17 +0000 UTC]

you can also get it at places like office depot.

This... is... the most amazing tutorial I've read!! What an amazing technique, it's so simple and elegant, you're the master.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

geekySquirrel In reply to Talty [2011-01-31 22:26:09 +0000 UTC]

wow, thank you! But keep in mind that you should not bake the glass! I tried it at 110°C (just out of curiosity). It did not melt totally, but it deformed, sadly.

Talty In reply to geekySquirrel [2011-02-01 00:07:40 +0000 UTC]

Ok I won't bake it, thank you for the heads up

I sent you a request to submit it to our club, #semi-sweeties because I think this tutorial could really help our members, I hope you don't mind!
