Description
An Illustration class assignment: produce an illustration to accompany the lyrics to a song of your choosing. The song I chose was "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance. the professor told the class to pick a song that would inspire them, and at first she said my choice of song was "uninspired". I'm not really sure how she's going to like this one considering it contains no allegories to love, references to nature, or visual metaphors.Watercolour on Crescent 310 Cold Press Illustration Board. Original appx. 8" x 10".

I like the varying facial structures, it really adds to the expressions. The colour scheme works well with this picture.

Great work - it does look very much like a childrens book illustration.
I'm confused. Your teacher asks you to pick a song to inspire you (not anyone else) and then complains that the song choice is 'uninspired'. Surely that's irrelevent and the only thing that matters is that you find it inspiring.
Your art classes are odd....
If you wanna try for something clever to irritate your teacher just give the book in the picture a good title involving mosters or something (I'd being tempted by the name and authors of the song choice myself).

This would be absolutely fantastic if it were say intended to be for a childs graphic novel or horror book.
But not so sure if it goes well with such a maturely themed song.
