Description
An Illustration class assignment: produce an illustration to accompany the lyrics to a song of your choosing. The song I chose was "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance. the professor told the class to pick a song that would inspire them, and at first she said my choice of song was "uninspired". I'm not really sure how she's going to like this one considering it contains no allegories to love, references to nature, or visual metaphors.Watercolour on Crescent 310 Cold Press Illustration Board. Original appx. 8" x 10".

Ohhh Do you do commissions? Those look like the monsters I have to fight off in the morning. They surround my bed..perhaps about ten more.. and they say things like.. "no use getting up", "No one cares", "sleep, it's all you are good for" etc etc...You know...the shitty commitee.. I need to remind myself daily to fire them! If I don't one will follow me to the restroom and poke at me in the mirror...saying "Oh my gaawd, why the hell did you get up" ...etc....

No, I don't take commissions at the current time, since I'm busy with school and such. Maybe I'll open them up in the winter or in the summer, when I don't have to worry about work for my classes.

What do you mean "it contains no allegories to love, references to nature, or visual metaphors?" I see all three. The reader obviously loves reading scary books. Monsters are "super" natural and have been a natural feature of human stories going back to the earliest writings of Sumeria, Egypt, and even cave paintings. Finally, there is the visual metaphor of the story's scary monsters appearing behind him, looking over his shoulders.
If your professor cannot see / understand this, maybe the professor should look for another line of work.
