Description Edit: Part II (digital inking) now available!: [link]
Also, eyes tutorial: [link]

Starring Cloud from Advent Children! (see... told you I was in a bizarre ffvii mood)

Yes, I know that sometimes sketches are Never So Clean as they are in this case... I'll talk about digital inking sometime in the near future in another tutorial. But this is for those who sketch cleanly or who go back and clean up their pencil sketch by erasing and redrawing the lines.

Feedback appreciated! (was it clear? more/less detail? What other stuff would you like to see?)

My lineart is infinitely messier than yours, if you could possibly give me some "personal" pointers on cleaning up my lineart, I'd appreciate it.

So YOU'RE the one who drew this... I bought a small print of this chibi cloud years ago at Fanime, but I misplaced the artist name and it's not on the picture itself.

Just so you know... It's still tacked to my wall. XD Right above the lightswitch.

I'm trying to change the color of my lineart using the color balance, but my lineart does not change color at all. I have my lineart layer selected (it's on multiply) and I used color balance with preview on but it's still black. Do you know what could be the problem?

Just one question, how do i set my layer to multiply?

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Raygirl13 [2008-10-18 16:28:08 +0000 UTC]

How do you do exactly to only have pencil lines and not a full-image with white background and pencil line (in the "lines" layer)? Because on the first "multiply" try it doesn't show me the background color (of the "background" layer).
