I don't normally do a preview image, but viewing this as a tiny thumbnail just doesn't work on any level.For those who are curious, yes, I have been reading "Eragon" and "Eldest" lately. This image is a render of my interpretation of a couple of the characters in the books. Saphira was the more difficult character to do, as her scales are described as having a great deal of depth of dimension. The "effect" in the render was done by layering many textures to get a final result.
All that aside, I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out.

It's great but Arya has black hair. They messed that up horribly in the movie. o.O

This is beautiful. Great job on the details I am loving the textures of saphira and how she sort of shines. and you have done great justice to Arya in my mind that is what she should look like. Very good job on details artwork and textures very important three things i look for in art like this! 8D

this is a good picture. But my biggest problem is with saphiras eyes. In the book they say she has intelligent eyes. While in this picture she has very wild and fearsome eyes. For some reason that really bothers me 7/10

I pictured Saphira a little less mean looking, but it is still really cool!!!!!! Oh, if you haven't seen the movie............DON'T!!!! YOU WILL BE GREATLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have seen it, you have my condolences.

Arya looks perfect and should have looked like taht during the movie but the dragon Im afraid just looks a bit demented to me...XD I think its the eyes I love how you drew the scales thought...They may need to be a dark color thought...XD But great job on drawing Arya what program did you use?

Poser, Poseray, Lexpander, Povray, Photoshop. Lexpander is the first generation lighting code I wrote a long time ago to support light creation for the Povray render engine.
I never took Saphira as being a cuddly dragon.

Amazing! Truley Amazing! What program did you use for this? I saw the movie, and the way they portrayed Arya was different than what I imagined! I still see her in my head pretty much the way you have drawn her!

stunning, Arya looks more like she is supposed to look then the movie people rendered her! one problem, the eye, it's green when it's supposed to be blue^^(i'm too obsessed w/ Saphira, that's why i saw that) but all in all this is amazing!

i've been looking through your galary and your work is amazing. the only criticism i have regarding this one is that Saphira looks a bit plastic-like, especially on the left ear. too shiny maybe?
