Gouache paints with coloured pencil on watercolour paper

*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now ***

I go back and forth with how I feel about how this painting turned out. I mean, I'm happy with the drawings of the characters. And the angle is... interesting, I think. There's a certain magic (pardon the punnishness of that) that I captured with someone my earliest Potter paintings, that I don't always feel in my newest paintings. That said, with each new painting, my skills of drawing and handling the paint improve... practice and all that. So, despite the misdirection of what I just said, I like this piece.
