Hey this is great. But i had a few problems.
Um...when i tried to do the hue, saturation thingy, it didn't turn into a different color. Do you know why?

twisted666 In reply to NerdyFreak [2006-07-01 12:51:39 +0000 UTC]
Maybe you're on the wrong layer. Or your pic is in grayscale. Change it to RGB.

Great - that's just what i always need, but I'm just wondering.. How do you do those lines so straight and go "right"? When I draw with my mouse it is hard to get lines right sized and straight.

twisted666 In reply to gerana [2006-06-16 05:59:11 +0000 UTC]
I'm not sure what you mean... If you use a mouse it would be better with a Pen tool, I think...

gerana In reply to twisted666 [2006-06-16 07:41:46 +0000 UTC]
Yeah.. it's quite difficult to explain I did example of what I mean -> [link]
I did that version with a pen tool but I think it looks worse with it than brush tool :S I dunno.. Maybe I don't get something or what but I can't make it look like Your work. *help*
I have another problem.. When I try to colorize my picture with Hue it doesn't do anything! ._O It's just the same colourless..

I use a tablet, you use a mouse... Of course it won't be the same. (Unless you are a genius with the mouse!)
Uhm, maybe your pic is set to Greyscale? (Change it to RGB.)

gerana In reply to twisted666 [2006-06-16 16:59:22 +0000 UTC]
Yes it was RGB but it didn't still chance it I tried to do that same trick to another drawings but no.. I don't know what the heck is wrong with it.
With a tablet it's surely easier.. *hmph!* Well, I just have to practise more with a mouse. This is what I usually can do (with mouse) -> [link]
It's very prolonged project..

It looks like you lost a lot of great shading in the process of merging. I know you'll probably get it back in the coloring, but why bother doing it in the pencils?
It's just an observation, but wouldn't it be quicker if you didn't shade from the beginning? Since you lose it anyway.

twisted666 In reply to shameous [2006-03-24 07:04:24 +0000 UTC]
Oh! Haha, this is just to show you how to digitize the lineart. The sketch was something I scribbled, cleaned, and shaded -- all done out of boredom during class. Finishing the picture wasn't the point of the thing... I wasn't planning to finish the pic (wasn't able to color it), it just so happened I chose to use it for this purpose of a tutorial.

Oh, o.k. So you wouldn't normally shade a drawing that you were going to ink. Cool....

Excuse me, but I have a question. When you activate the lineart layer and use some of the darker colors to ink some of the shin, how do you make it so that color just goes on thst line?

hey, i have a question about this!
After doing some brushing lines on the artwork, and then when I placed the White layer on visible mode, the entire thing disappeared, including the lineart...why is that happening?
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
twisted666 In reply to ANBUluuver [2006-01-15 07:49:31 +0000 UTC]
You must have placed the White layer above everything. Try placing it below the lineart and above the draft.

ANBUluuver In reply to twisted666 [2006-01-15 18:10:47 +0000 UTC]
there's a difference when it comes to the orders of the layers? i didn't know that! >D thanks a lot.

this happened to me too! i think it's the order of the layers... i arranged the order which goes like: lineart, then white, then background...

Yes, Airbrush with pressure sensitivity, but it can also be done with a Pen Tool... See =healdria 's tutorial.
