Wobby lines? Hmm. I think I'll make a new lineart tutorial sometime.

Oh, if you do I think I'll start a new religion dedicated to you!
In other words; I would be very happy if you did, but I have this nasty feeling that the wobbly lines got to do with either lack of talent, or lack of practice or both.

No, no. Perhaps it's your pen settings or just not enough control... Let me review this and see what I can do, okay? Do you have any other questions regarding this topic?

You're too kind!
Honestly, I think I lack practice when it comes to do lineart with computer and/or ink, I'm much more confident when it comes to pencil because then it's not so permanent (or something). Now, if I enlarge the picture to 200% I can get the lineart to look decent in photoshop, with the aid of the eraser of course, but otherwise I think I just tense up too much... So it's not an issue with the technology, but rather the technique. ^^
Thanks for the offer though,and if I have any questions I'll come running!

Love it! This is very helpful! When you do your brush, what are its settings. I have a problem with mine always look sketchy and un-smooth while everyone else seems to have their line art have a clean flow to them. No matter how careful I am otr how I change the flow and opacity, it just won't come out smooth! Thank you! Love your stuff!

Hi...um...I have a problem... I read your tutorial before doing it and it seems like it will be of a great help...everything was fine until after the first layer...I was just about to use the brush when this pop-up window came out>>"could not use the brush tool because the target layer is hidden."
What do I do?? I can't show the layer because(duh) I wont be able to see the sketch...help me please...

Sorry this reply is late, Darling, if you don't already know, you must have been working on a layer that's been hidden. You must unhide it -- the "eye icon" on the Layers window is ticked on.

I think you can transform your draw inside of the computer!
But I got this weird wireless scroll tablet and my lineart is not like yours, so I have a question to do:
When you got your scroll tablet, was your lineart great or you had to practice before? ;-;

Why is it that your linearts has sharp edges? what kind of brush are you using because when I use the same specs of brush like what you're using, it doesn't appear like that.

twisted666 In reply to ValKeish-Bleuriem [2006-12-08 14:45:15 +0000 UTC]
The default one. Erase from the edges... Do you have your pen pressure on?
