PS: If you want to make your male characters' hands look more masculine, trying drawing them a little bit bigger. ^^ It'll help a lot, trust me! Other than that, they are beautiful hands--many-a person would be really envious of your ability to draw them on a male OR female character! Eeep...okies, I'm going now...g'night!

Waiii~~~ The guy here is uke so it's perfectly fine that he has feminine hands. But thank you so much!

LOL--yeah, that'd make his girly hands okay, I guess. Hehehe--I like the way you've set up the links in your signature. Cute!

Wow... Your drawing style is lovely, and don't worry--I've seen girlier hands drawn on guys in published anime works before. ^~ The instructions are nice and step-by-step, and make me eager to try the technique out (I don't have Photoshop, though...hmm, must remedy this...) I could probably manage to make a similar type of technique for Paint Shop Pro 7. I don't have a tablet, either, so it'll probably turn out much less smooth, but it's worth a try.
Anyhow, nice job--your tutorial looks very nice, is easy to follow and has satisfying and clean-cut results (at least, in the example given.) I'm gonna show it to my brother, 'cause we were just talking about CG inking hand-drawn pencil sketches in the car today. ^^ *favs this*

LOL--worry not for my wrists, I've been freehand drawing with the mouse on computers for years now. ^^ Such kawaii emotes! Awww...
Keep drawing--I really like your face-drawing style as well as the hands!

PS. I liike your style. If you could look at my style for drawing anime girls faces and give me some constructive criticism, id really appreciate it. just go to my profile. Its my only deviation.
*feels ashamed*

Thank you ne!
Ah, well... You could improve in a lot of places. For a start, you could make the face bigger, and the eyes smaller, and lower the color contrast.

Well, for one thing, PS CS is the only image-editing program I ever had... ___
I had to learn how to use it~ >___< It was hard at first!
There's pen tablet pressure sensitivity and Opacity / Flow of the brush...

I have one question. Why would you want to set the lineart layer on multiply before you color? I usually do it without it, but what's the difference?
Very helpful tutorial, though!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
twisted666 In reply to ploomy [2005-09-23 11:08:03 +0000 UTC]
Thank you ne!
Well, most other anime do it so the lineart doesn't stick out from the picture so much! But in other cases, it makes little difference. (Hmm~ Maybe I can show you sometime! )

Renka-san I absulutely ADORE your style! Thank you so much for the tutorial, I need as much help as I can get with my new tablet! It took me forever to save up the precious money! Gomen my silly doodles, now they can actually be inked without my crappy pen skills!

It's not the only way, malya-san! In fact, my method is quite time-consuming, so if you ever find another method that you think might suit you, go ahead and try that too! Sankyuu ne~~~!!!
