Mac OS X style system behaviour with not 3rd party program .
Macos X is a Mac OS X port for WIndows 7, made by idas = ZEUS osX. (Pavlos Pitselas).
Macos X for windows 7 is MADE IN GREECE (= Hellas).
Macos (1)word meaning : 'mecos'= length in ancient Athenian also Ionian language and in Byzantine and in nowdays Greek, and 'macos' in doric and aeolian ancient greek dialects and in nowdays tsaconian= spartan dialect that still speaken in some villages in southeastern Pelloponese[south Greece], where is my hometown, and also in Ancient Greek Macedonian and Aeolian Thessalian dialects.
On screenshot , down window there exist some of a portrait of Alexander the Great(=Alexandros) who unified all Hellenes=Greeks ie (Peloponisians , Thessalians , Macedonians, Athenians, Cretans etc ].
IN ancient and in nowdays Hellenic (=Greek) [Active CODE] language, every letter, and every word is a specific number, and it has a specific meaning.
ZEUS ( or DEUS or DIAS) is Master of immortal Gods in Hellenic (=Greek) Active CODE [arithmetic machine logic] language, and APPLE is the given gift from ZEUS .
So the name of the THEME choosen from Hellenic = GREEK language and civilization.

Macos X IS not just a theme. With new code added to Windows system files , Windows becomes behaving like Mac OS X .
When forinstance we select a folder as 'icon', we have separate mouse over image for the folder and other image for the text.
When we select a folder as 'details' we can have stripes, and mouse over images like mac os X , blue hover and white text .
Main categories of visual styles: Transparent, Brushed, Gray.
Names and styles of Themes:
Dion,- 4 versions ---> transparent
Alexander, - 4 --> brushed
Leopard - 4 --> gray
in each style that has number I (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion I ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, and a designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number II (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion II ) --> no visible folderband, BUT with addressbar image,and NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number III (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion III) --> Visible folderband, and with addressbar image in eand NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
each style that has number IIII (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion IIII ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, BUT IT HAS some pseudo buttons in the place of addressbar so to look like MAC Finder, though its only design, without fuctionality as also the designed button at the corner of titlebar.
Also i use The Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger which makes the close,max,min buttons more close.
My work is based on the spirit of os X, and not a copy of it.
Many images are designed in a similar but not same way with original os X.
I use font bold style in many places that original os X use regular font style.
I made this project to work only to 96 dpi font size.
For this project i have spent thousands of hours, and perchaps it is first time in the history of Windows, that without any 3rd party programm or explorer replacement, we have a so much close to mac os X style approaching.
The theme will have some limitations in use, as i have not enough time to complete in the way i want, as i am too tired.
MAIN LIMITATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF USING
1. Be sure that in Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display the Smaller - 100% categorie is checked . if there is not, check Smaller - 100% and restart.
Also do not change font size (leave it 96 dpi font size).
2. do not change border padings.
3. in the new themes there is no any taskbar problem.
4. for close distance between close,min,max buttons Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger needed.
5. for adding shadows effect around your Windows, needed the freeware controlable application YzShadow.

I N S T R U C T I O N S (32 BIT Version)
There are on this download, visual styles, there are forward and backwards buttons (ExplorerFrame.dll), imageres.dll, shell32.dll and explorer [=start button] for windows 7, 32 bit version and Themes and visual styles are used on all versions of windows 7.
BE CAREFULL THIS PACK IS ONLY FOR WINDOWS 7 - 32 BIT VERSION.
so : First do a restore poin to your system. Then :
UNZIP all files, using freeware 7z [link]
1. To use the visual styles ( mstyle) , you must install a small application, download from [link] .
Credits goes to Rafael Rivera for this amazing work. Then restart your system.
ALSO INSTEAD OF this, an alternative solution is to buy AveStyler application [link] and very ease you can change your visual styles .
2. Copy the folder 'OS X Cursors' , to C:\Windows\Cursors .
Copy the 'Mac os X Wallpapers' of this pack to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper.
Copy the 'Mac os X sounds' of this pack to C:\Windows\Media .
3. Copy all the folders included in the folder 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx' [after unzip all files, and copy them to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes ,provided C is your Windows drive).
Open there ["C:\Windows\Resources\Themes"] and choose the theme name you like, select it, double clik tand thats it.
before replacing files go to Control pane [view by category] -->so Go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window Never Notify. restart. do all your changes in code that u want. then again go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window to Default or to whatever u like, then restart.

a. Obtain Permisions and Ownership of ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll that located in C:\Windows\System32 and and do also the same for explorer that located in C:\Windows\ . (use the "Obtaining Permissions and ownership.txt" for help on installing, included in the downloading pack)

b. Backup you original ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll and explorer by renaming them to ExplorerFrame.old, imageres.old, shell32.old and explorer.old
c. Copy ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll from this pack to C:\Windows\System32 and and explorer to C:\Windows .
[for the Alexandros and Dion Themes copy the ExplorerFrame.dll from the '1. buttons light blue HOVER ' folder, for the leopard copy the ExplorerFrame.dll from the '2. buttons gray HOVER' folder, of this pack.
d. Restart to see the changes.
4. Go to Desktop Personalize & apply the theme you preffer.

-1. For having to the left side the min, max, close buttons, use please leftsider. [link]

-5. I have visual styles with no looking Folderband [is the toolbar that it has Buttons Commands like 'Organise', 'System Properties' etc] and other with always appearing Folderband. How to stop the music playing when you enter the Login Screen of window :
right clik to desktop/personalization/sounds select it , a small window appear, there is a small button and the text near by says : Play Window Start up Sound , deselect the button, thats it, restart.

MAKING SOME APPLICATION WHICH DOES NOT START WITH THE START OF WINDOWS, ENABLE TO START.
[ATTENTION, DO THIS ONLY IF YOU TRUST THOSE APPLICATION]
FOR leftsider, or Yz Shadow for example
For starting with windows start up , go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and select show hidden files and folders. then go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and add a shortcut of the leftsider or Yz Shadow
then go again go to control panel/clasic view/folder options then go to view and deselect show hidden files and folders.
(do the same for any other application, but only if you trust it, and does not automatically work with the start up of windows) [if you want also to uninstall an application , like leftsider and reinstall a new version of it, you have first go to "C:\Users\[enter your username here]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\" and delete the folder called "leftsider" = delete the folder with the name of the application , in this case current "leftsider".]

My basic idea was to give to windows a personal osx style , a little bit different of that Apple is making in some sections. [a 'happier' lighter one looking if i could = lighter colors]
the main idea of the theme subject is an equilibrium between elegancy and useability [in a mac os x style theme in windows system, you can not have both because of windows system limitations and hardcoded codes and unfound informations].

Okay, so I am COMPLETELY lost. I have everything installed, and had even added "Finderbar" from another user ([link] ), but all of my windows/menus don't really look much like Mac. I also own a Mac desktop, so in trying to use this on my Windows 7 netbook.... it's not what I was expecting. Another user had commented on the same thing, and you told him/her to apply Aero and restart. Well, I have always used Aero, and in clicking on any theme in the folder, it simply brings me to the "Windows Color and Appearance" window....again and again. No white/blue stripes inside the menus, even ran Leftsider (and the buttons are STILL on the right side), and like another person had said before -- the close/min/max buttons still look like old-school Windows. What am I doing wrong??

perchaps many things . first of all be patient.

now,if you mean with old-school Windows about the close/min/max buttons i suppose you mean that the clasic theme is looking to your system, even if you select one of my themes. [but if i have understood something wrong, re writte to me and give a screenshot if possible]
so if clasic theme appears in looking: that happened because of many reasons.
but if everything has been installed as the instructions said then the problem is this:
some specific microsoft updates make the uxcore utility [the small application that enables your system using 3rd party visual styles/themes , like mines] stop working.
now becarefull you have not reinstall.
if you do its possible the problem remained.
So, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features amd UNINSTALL first the uxcore application, then restart.
now INSTALL uxcore application, then restart.
go to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes double clik to one of my themes, if that works then you set your folders as details and you will see the stripes. [i suppose that system files=dll have been installed well, because those give the commamd for having stripes etc][also i suppose that the themes have been copy to the right folder , to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes ]

about leftsider : make a new folder to C:\Program Files , named it leftsider, there copy paste your compressed file, uncompress it [unzip it] then open the new folder leftsider103 clik to leftsider after there will be 3 files, leftsider.dll leftsider and readme.
also to your taskbar 's right part in notification area shoul appear a leftsider 's icon , when you press one time with your mouse, min , max, close buttons go to left. if you press again they return yto right. now go to C:\Program Files\leftsider\leftsider103\leftsider103 and right clik to leftsider , a menu appears select send to the desktop, so a shortcut appears to your desktop .

Zeus: I found a separate link for a "Universal Theme Patch" for Windows 7, installed this program and it patched 3 different .dll files, including one that basically changes what the UxCore program would. Did so, rebooted and WHAM! It worked.

no, its copywritted.
and i suppose you mean because snow leopard has bigger distanses you want to make something similar. but this is extreme difficult. that many people asked me, and do not understand is this simple : windows code does not allow by default having stripes or all the other changes.
its not we change values or modify code that exists.
i have not changed an existed code, i had re written from start all the code, adding new parametrs, that there no existed in windows system, see my modification i s like a huge application but which works with the main system, it does not sit to the system, it replaces parts of windows system. infact its a new system.its not osx, but it is made to be similar. even if u add code parameters for having stripes then you have to change other hundreds of parameters + add new code where needs, for be the text inside the stripes. there is no 1 section for the stripes, the part which is for categories, forexample Hard drives streched different the area you put the text and the images over text, the area in start menu when we wriitte a word to search, has different streched size etc etc
So : i would like MYSELF to make it bigger the stripes, as snow leopard do, and also because for touch systems bigger sizes are better for fingers, though i myself is extreme boring to replace all those parametrs again. !!!!!!!
when you change 1 parameter all the other changed, you can n ot just add, forexample a + 2 value, and all work together, no, the system streched as it wants, adding other kind of values bigger or smaller with no analogie, and very little people can understand what i have made i mean how was difficult to reform windows to osx mode. so for bigger stripes i have to rewritte and change all code parameters [reffered to stripes section] and after some months to find if in all windows sections [details style existed to libraries to some small windows, to start pane seach mode, to search default window, etc etc i can writte to you about some pagess] if in everyone of them , the text is at the right position or if any parameter strech them and transport text to other position between the stripes.
Also even after all everything is ok, then you will see that if we select our folder to look as content, the text will be out of the content area stripes so for another time needed changing or adding new code parameters for working content stripes. and it is possible when this done then the details stripes text, all or in some of windows sections, not working well, so again must be find the one condition of parameters to work on both.
i spent 1 year for made all this huge mess to look so,mehow in order, and this was extreme difficult.
And as i reffered to all of my works, because i respect my work and efforts, I do not allow modifications or any kind of copy of my work, having copyrighted also.

Honestly i think u put a way lot of effort here making this theme, greatly appreciated, but the border width left & ryt needs to be gone, i disturbs the whole effect of the theme and icons, taskbar needs fixin, I'm sure u can do way lot better, but this is good 2

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE 64 BIT VERY CAREFULLY.
THE SYSTEM FILES OF YOUR SYSWOW64 FOLDER MUST BE REPLACED FROM THE 32 BIT FILES THAT I HAVE INCLUDED TO MY Macos X for Windows 7 - 32bit to this Macos X for Windows 7 - 32bit web page.
That means that 64BIT USERS must download the 64 and the 32 bit version i give you because in 64 bit there is a special folder that include only 32 bit files , it is the c:\windows\syswow64 folder.
so follow very carefully the 64 bit INSTRUCTIONS and you will not have problem.

yes , those kind of problems appears to some systems, because we change the system files, specially the shell32.dll
this has not to do with the new code i have added for working the system in osx styling, but with the fact that we replace system files.
original system files are cooperating with registry and programs that we have previous installed , so when we copy paste new system files in some cases in some systems may some problems appeared.
this has to do with the windows 7 code behaviour.
For NOT having problems is best the chsnging of the system files to ne to a new installed windows system, to a system with no application installed.
So, not programs to our system installed, only windows and all the updates [if we use microsoft Update], the we change the system files and then we install any APLICATION we like. this because sometimes if we do the changing to a system that has aplications installed it may some of them not worked, as one of the original system files we change ---> the shell32.dll 'cooperates' with the registry and the programs in a way that a replace of it sometimes[not ever] it MAKES some applications not working. but this does not happen ever.
i writte those to you for understanding what happened:
there are 2 solutions to such problems of windows7 code:
first make a restore point.
1. or use the originall shell32.dll of your system. how ---> you go to C:\Windows\System32 and you rename the current shell32.dll to shel32.bak and then rename theshell32.old [this was our original microsoft file] to shell32.dll
this method has some disandvantages such as some folders and positions of elements are in windows and not in mac osx style settings. but if the sound driver coorperates good then use this method.
or 2. method make restaore point. then unistall complete sound driver.
then via microsoft updATES install a generic sound driver from microsoft, that solved your problem. this last solution is posted by people on past which has such sound driver problems that are made because of the cooperation of registry, driver and shell32.dll.

very bad theme,dude.time applet in tray became so disrupted, that i had to disable it. Start menu also has awful look, where did you see such styles, ha? i'll better stay on default theme.

use my instructions text ---> right clik to taskbar, select Properties, Uncheck Use small icons, Resize your taskbar as possible small, then check Use small icons and that s it.
To my system[32 bit win 7 rtm] I do this, i set first small icons taskbar size on top of desktop, after i set before shut down, or log off etc the taskbar to the bottom , when i log in i set the taskbar to the top and works ok.
this problems become because windows 7 system behaviour to 22 pixel (small icon) taskbar is unbelieveable not applicable!
That means that everytime you log in to your system, taskbar becomes bigger[than 22pixels] , so in my text i give some solutions about this , but AS I WRITTE to my instructions its better to use my my latest updated visual styles/themes which have bigger than original 22 pixels height osx small icons taskbar but which work perfect to windows 7 code, no problem with the taskbar when log in, so download my APPOLON-THEMES : [link] , so use those for direct use with no need of resizing.

I have a problem with the sound when I startup my pc. It just doesn't wanna play anything. And also flash apps like youtube crash in my browser. When I restore my old explorer,shell etc. it comes back to normal??

original system files are cooperating with registry and programs that we have previous installed , so when we copy paste new system files in some cases in some systems may some problems appeared.
this has to do with the windows 7 code behaviour.
For NOT having problems is best the chsnging of the system files to ne to a new installed windows system, to a system with no application installed.
So, not programs to our system installed, only windows and all the updates [if we use microsoft Update], the we change the system files and then we install any APLICATION we like. this because sometimes if we do the changing to a system that has aplications installed it may some of them not worked, as one of the original system files we change ---> the shell32.dll 'cooperates' with the registry and the programs in a way that a replace of it sometimes[not ever] it MAKES some applications not working. but this does not happen ever. so you can replace the system files following my instructions, and your system will work ok. i just mention that sometimes in some systems some applications not work, and that has to do with how windows 7 code works.
sorry i can not do anything to this, as this is a windows code behaviour, i hope you understood why this sometimes become.
the only solution is to reinstall our system, saving first our work.

also, the changing of the system files it affects to some system drivers, to some systems [not all , there is no rule for this behaviour, it just happened to some systems, to some applications or to some drivers] , so about ythe sound some users reffer me me that , they had uninstalled their sound driver, and via microsoft's updates they install a generic sound driver for their system and sound works ok.
Now, if you will use your previous original system files then your system will work as on the past.
But if you want to have my osx styling working, as i described you, its better to reinstall your windows 7 , saving first your work. ---> install windows 7 , all updates, then copy paste my system files following my instructions , and only after all this you install any application you like.
then no problem appear.

i am sorry Schany, what i usually do when i am far from home and i like to upload or to download large files, is going to some cafe that they have internet fast acces , and in some minutes i do it quiqly. ofcourse that happen if you have a laptop, oterwise see if a friends of you can have a laptop or a pc with quiq internet line for download it quiqly and if your friend could writte it to a cd that would be also a solution.

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE 64 BIT VERY CAREFULLY.
THE SYSTEM FILES OF YOUR SYSWOW64 FOLDER MUST BE REPLACED FROM THE 32 BIT FILES THAT I HAVE INCLUDED TO MY Macos X for Windows 7 - 32bit to this Macos X for Windows 7 - 32bit web page.
That means that 64BIT USERS must download the 64 and the 32 bit version i give you because in 64 bit there is a special folder that include only 32 bit files , it is the c:\windows\syswow64 folder.
so follow very carefully the 64 bit INSTRUCTIONS and you will not have problem [link]

Thank you! Now it's all almost ok!But there is a little bug in the leopard apollon themes..when i open a folder and i go with the mouse under or upper the window (a little up the "name" or in the last name that i see) the screen becames to shake..do you know about this problem??

oh i understood what do you mean. this is how to open the folderband:
in vista and in windows 7 we have hidden the folderband, the toolbar which is written 'Organise', 'System Properties' etc.
for the users need this toolbar alwayw opened i have made themes/visual styles like the 24 Dion III [all the named with III AT the end have opened folderband.]
all the other themes opened setting the mouse between the adressbar and the main white area of the window. the problem is that on vista this worked smooth but in windows 7 as the code has changed if you touch with the mouse the area goes up and down, 'it flickers', so what we have to do is just gently you touch with your mouse, Then folderband opens. Do not moove your mouse. Press right clik and dont leave your finger from the right button of the mouse. then drag your mouse with pressed the right button to the command button of the folderband that you want. Then without leaving the pressed right button of the mouse, you pressed the left button of the mouse once, then rapidly you leave the right button of the mouse, and press again the the left button of the mouse, and THATS IT.

this behaviour from windows 7 code.
just for known it. in anycase as i told you use the themes with III as the 24 Dion III in which folderband is always opened.

[something other , just for knowing it : some specific microsoft updates make the uxcore utility [the small application that enables your system using 3rd party visual styles/themes , like mines] stop working.
now becarefull you have not reinstall.
if you do its possible the problem remained.
So, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features amd UNINSTALL first the uxcore application, then restart.
now INSTALL uxcore application, then restart.
(also perchaps of specific microsoft updates needed sometimes to replace again following my instructions shell32.dll system file)]

This mod is AWESOME I almost got everything working perfectly except for 1 small annoyance you might be able to help me with it --> [link] How do I put the words in the center of the windows like this?? from what i know,( because i have stoped this because of health problems,) the centered text in aero version is hardcoded by microsoft.[in basic i have centered the text as the code there enables it]
only to aplications made for working with windows 7 can be made this, not to the explorer 's system windows --> the problem is not made by my code, it is microsoft who 'keep this secret', so it's not my mods fault.[perchaps in better conditions i could find a solution if could be, searching or adding new hex code to a specific dll if we know which is that made this (or a registry value add) but i am too tired for making anything more. i am 46 years old and my brain is not like when i was 16 , 20 or 25. also for this effort i spent 1 year from the beta versions of windows 7 for searching, finding and adding new code to the new unknown system code system such as this of windows 7]
my versions of osx following my taste in some parts and not Apple's ones, you could made a firefox theme more near to my colors [just for been same looking] also the problem with programs like Paint, is made because the Leftsider application has not exceptions, ie exceptional programs for not using it, for example to set to all explorer's windows the min,max,close buttons to left , except forexample not to Paint, but this is not also my mods fault.its lefrsider's function.

Sorry, but i cannot replace the shell32.dll...i obtain the ownership but when i try to copy your shell with the old ones it fails...i've tried four times..and it never works...can you explain me why?
