This is a Work from Hellas = Greece.
Is dedicated to All people of Earth who support : the Hellenic = Greek History, Philoshophy, Civilization and the Greek people.
********
PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE 64 BIT of this page VERY CAREFULLY.
THE SYSTEM FILES OF YOUR SYSWOW64 FOLDER MUST BE REPLACED FROM THE 32 BIT FILES THAT I HAVE INCLUDED TO MY Macos X for Windows 7 - 32bit [link] FROM FOLDER '32 bit Dll files'
So 64bit users must download also my 32bit version of the theme.
THE REST SYSTEM FILES, in C:\Windows\System32 and in C:\Windows MUST REPLACED FROM THE FILES INCLUDED TO THIS PACK FROM FOLDER '64 bit Dll files'.
Mac OS X style system behaviour with not 3rd party program .
Macos X is a Mac OS X port for WIndows 7, made by idas = ZEUS osX. (Pavlos Pitselas).
Macos X for windows 7 is MADE IN GREECE (= Hellas).
Macos (1)word meaning : 'mecos'= length in ancient Athenian also Ionian language and in Byzantine and in nowdays Greek, and 'macos' in doric and aeolian ancient greek dialects and in nowdays tsaconian= spartan dialect that still speaken in some villages in southeastern Pelloponese[south Greece], where is my hometown, and also in Ancient Greek Macedonian and Aeolian Thessalian dialects.
On screenshot , down window there exist some of a portrait of Alexander the Great(=Alexandros) who unified all Hellenes=Greeks ie (Peloponisians , Thessalians , Macedonians, Athenians, Cretans etc ].
IN ancient and in nowdays Hellenic (=Greek) [Active CODE] language, every letter, and every word is a specific number, and it has a specific meaning.
ZEUS ( or DEUS or DIAS) is Master of immortal Gods in Hellenic (=Greek) Active CODE [arithmetic machine logic] language, and APPLE is the given gift from ZEUS .
So the name of the THEME choosen from Hellenic = GREEK language and civilization.
-------------------------------
Macos X IS not just a theme. With new code added to Windows system files , Windows becomes behaving like Mac OS X .
When forinstance we select a folder as 'icon', we have separate mouse over image for the folder and other image for the text.
When we select a folder as 'details' we can have stripes, and mouse over images like mac os X , blue hover and white text .
Main categories of visual styles: Transparent, Brushed, Gray.
Names and styles of Themes:
Dion,- 4 versions ---> transparent
Alexander, - 4 --> brushed
Leopard - 4 --> gray
in each style that has number I (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion I ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, and a designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number II (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion II ) --> no visible folderband, BUT with addressbar image, and NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
in each style that has number III (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion III) --> Visible folderband, and with addressbar image in eand NO designed button at the corner of titlebar.
each style that has number IIII (FOR EXAMPLE : 24 Dion IIII ) --> no visible folderband, and no addressbar image, BUT IT HAS some pseudo buttons in the place of addressbar so to look like MAC Finder, though its only design, without fuctionality as also the designed button at the corner of titlebar.
Also i use The Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger which makes the close, max, min buttons more close.
My work is based on the spirit of os X, and not a copy of it.
Many images are designed in a similar but not same way with original os X.
I use font bold style in many places that original os X use regular font style.
I made this project to work only to 96 dpi font size.
For this project i have spent thousands of hours, and perchaps it is first time in the history of Windows, that without any 3rd party programm or explorer replacement, we have a so much close to mac os X style approaching.
The theme will have some limitations in use, as i have not enough time to complete in the way i want, as i am too tired.
--------
MAIN LIMITATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF USING
1. Be sure that in Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display the Smaller - 100% categorie is checked . if there is not, check Smaller - 100% and restart.
Also do not change font size (leave it 96 dpi font size).
2. do not change border padings.
3. in the new themes there is no any taskbar problem.
4. for close distance between close, min, max buttons Ave's application [still beta] , CloseButtonChanger needed.
5. for adding shadows effect around your Windows, needed the freeware controlable application YzShadow.

just replace = rename the old, copy paste the new 'explorer' system file, follow the instructions text.
there is a posibility if nothing changing after this, that perchaps i will need to upload sp1 system files, but first do the changes as i reffer to instructions, and then restart.

Was wondering if you could help me, I followed all the instructions but when looking at your pictures I seen that were your clock and that is, it is different to mine [link] what did I do wrong to not get the start menu bar like yours?
π: 0 β©: 1
ZEUSosX In reply to TonyConnors [2011-03-03 09:20:59 +0000 UTC]
first of all i use small icons to my previews. right clik to taskbar , left clik to properties, select Use small icons.
now if you like to add folders or separators, download my Apple of Eris for windows 7 visual styles which have also mac style shadows, and a special folder with separator designing folders that you can pin to your taskbar, so to modify as you want [if after you dont want them just unpin it]
also you can add your country's flag [link]
but if you mean something other please descibe it.
(forexample i have delete the older theme versions with the clock, because to some systems the clock position changed! that could not fixed with the code, in the visual style or in the system file.
the screenshots have taken from the first versions of the visual styles, those styles had the original taskbar height of 22 pixel height of mac osx + the designed clock.
both can not working to windows 7 because:
because of internak construction of the code of taskbar of windows 7, if we set a small taskbar like that of osx everytime we restart the taskbar became big and we have to resize, a thing which annoying.
the clock to some systems dissapeared with no finding reason.
in the Macos X for Windows 7 - 32bit [link] there is a folder named older versions Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx, so this themes have the clock and the 22 pixel taskbar.if the clock does not appear then use this Additional Themes [link]
but as i say to you those are old versions of the themes. to the new ones i have delete the things that to some system are not looking as should.
so my new themes working better]

no from what u know unless if use external aplication , you have to search to web [i dont remember the name of an old one , it was tc clock or something similar]
for the snow leopard System Tray Icon , in my instructions i reffer : OS X systray for Windows 7 [link] the reason i didnt make is that i didnt like to do my modification with as little as possible system files of using.
also there is Windows 7 Tray Icons Changer: Change Default Volume, Network & Action Center Tray Icons , for doing that yourself, [link]
also see Making the looking of the right side of windows 7 taskbar as possible as mac os x right side of taskbar, without changing any system files.

mine doesn't work. it just showed the apple icon instead of windows start button, explorer icon with all it's content, and background when it's shutting down and starting up. the mac OSx theme doesn't appeared on the personalization. any solution?
π: 0 β©: 1
ZEUSosX In reply to oraopoopo [2011-03-01 20:29:39 +0000 UTC]
the most common problem becomes from windows 7 updates.
if everything was installed like i descibe in instructions then restart, now set again a theme [double clik to the themes for apply]
i suppose you have set install the themes to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes , provided C is your Windows drive, ok?
sometimes because of microsoft updates the themes are not applied, so as i said restaRT and try once more.
if no solution becomes then because of microsoft updates it is possible universal theme patcher stops working
so restart, if still not working , Uninstalling it first. restart.
install it again. restart . thats it.
those are the most common problems and behaviours.

hey, im having a bug using your mac os x windows 7 theme x64... i installed very carefully, but look at my explorer, its yellow and the taskbar is still windows style... @_@
[link]
please, if you can, send me an email: guigo_richter@hotmail.com. i liked your mac theme very much, but there are these things missing... i tried everything, i did exactly as the INSTRUCTIONS.txt said...
π: 0 β©: 1
ZEUSosX In reply to Acko741 [2011-02-26 22:06:40 +0000 UTC]
the style you use is aero, thats why the yellow color.
use one of my styles and you will have stripes.[because of code parameters]
Copy all the folders included in the folder 'Macos X Themes by ZEUSosx' [after unzip all files, and copy them to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes ,provided C is your Windows drive).select and double clik to one of the themes.
if instead of a mac looking a windows clasic appear then there 2 possibilities.
1. restart your system and then go again to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes and select again one or another of my themes. if still you have problem, then 2. that means that uxcore application, which enable windows system accept 3rd party themes[not microsoft ones] has stoped working, because of a microsoft update.now becarefull you MUST not reinstall at once the uxcore.if you do its possible the problem remained.]
So, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features amd UNINSTALL first the uxcore application, then restart.now INSTALL uxcore application, then restart.
sometimes the windows system 'holds' temporarily some folder icons the 'look' that they have before, so for eliminate this [which a windows characteristic 'function' and not of my files] do this :
personalize, display, shange from smaller to medium[125%] , log of [or restart] log in, then again personalize, display, shange from medium to small[100%].
If not at once after sometime, the folders of your active system files should work.
those i described you here are the most common problems, that does not mean that any of them happened to you.
writte and give again screenshot, if any problem exists.

It works perfect on Windows 7 64 bits. Just a small issue: when I try to change the view (list, small icons, etc) on the folder Explorer suddenly all the icons are jumping, or vibrating.. : o is this a bug? How can I fix it? this happens with any theme, Leopard, DION, etc..
Many thanks,

no thats not normal , except 1 case .
if you use some of the themes that have hidden the folderband, if you touch with the mouse the line between the main window white area and the address bar then the system flickers goes up and down , this bug is known in windows 7 [in vista does not exist], so do this , i have some themes with open folderband like the 24 Dion III
so please select it, and tell me if something happened.
now read how to open the folder band to the other themes read please this tutorial [link]
also download my latest mac style visual styles/themes which have also mac style shadows around the windows [link]
if there is something other give a preview and describe it.

it is because i say to people this: be the master of your machine: i could [and i can] give you some utilities / applications which would/will make the replacement of the files automatically.
this would be easier for the users , specialy the new ones BUT they could not learn hot to control themselves the stuff. i want that people understood what they replace what they change and what that they changed do to their computer.
its not messing in my opinion, if its difficult ok perchaps the steps are many for someone, but if you do it right one time then you learn the steps forever.

it aint difficult for us but for a beginner to open that theme folder and see about 30 different files kind of off putting maybe
π: 0 β©: 1
ZEUSosX In reply to DEEAANNOO [2011-02-14 23:33:44 +0000 UTC]
ok infact there this 2 main categories, 1.the themes 2.the system files
the 1.themes for working need 1. sounds 2. wallpapers 3. cursors [i have not included fonts]
the 2.system files are 4 in 32bit, and doubled to 8 in 64bit
i used the less of files i could use for this kind [mac osx style] of modification.
perchaps the themes are many but you copy all of them to 1 location to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
i am sorry i can not use less files for this modification.
imagine that there many people that i asked me to give more system files,[taskbar tray], internet explorer, etc with mac style icons etc .

Hey! Great modification! I've had it for about a year now, and I want to take it off. How do I do that? I completely forgot to make a System Restore point, but I did rename my dll files to (.old), to be able to save them. So how do I go back to the original? Please respond soon!

1. before replacing files go to Control pane [view by category] -->so Go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window Never Notify.
2. go to your C:\Windows\System32 and rename my files that you have install it there from ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll to ExplorerFrame.bak, imageres.bak, shell32.bak and then rename those you have renamed on past, from ExplorerFrame.old, imageres.old, shell32.old to ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll
3. then go to C:\Windows and rename my file that you have install it there from Explorer.exe to Explorer.bak and then rename that you have renamed on past, from Explorer.old, to Explorer.exe
4. IN 64 bit you have also to do this: o to your c:\windows\syswow64 and rename my files that you have install it there from Explorer.exe, ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll to Explorer.bak,ExplorerFrame.bak, imageres.bak, shell32.bak and then rename those you have renamed on past, from ExplorerFrame.old, imageres.old, shell32.old to Explorer.exe, ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll
5. restart. now you system has the original microsoft files so we have returned before.
sometimes the windows system 'holds' temporarily some folder icons the 'look' that they have before, so for eliminate this [which a windows characteristic 'function' and not of my files] do this :
personalize, display, shange from smaller to medium[125%] , log of [or restart] log in, then again personalize, display, shange from medium to small[100%].
If not at once after sometime, the folders of your active system files should work.
but perchaps there better methods.
SO this is the method for uninstalling it.
thats the exaxt oposite for installing it.

I have Windows 7 64 bit and it works great! I had some issues at first but after reading how if you uninstall and install the ux program it may fix it... and it did! Granted it took me 3 hours playing around with it and reading through the comments before I figured it out. Thanks ZEUSosX for the great package!
PS - for anyone who is thinking about doing this you HAVE to create a restore point. Not knowing what I was doing the first time almost made me have to reinstall Windows. You have to be careful when editing the System32 folder!
The only issue (minor) that I have found is that my computer did not want to give up a couple icons. If anyone has suggestions of how or what program to do an overhaul on them I would really appreciate it!

: windows 7 system 'holds' old style icons [not the new ones]. this is a common microsoft style of windows working. after some restarts it should be changed, usually. what we can do , but not works always, is this : go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display select Medium 125% [my themes dont made to look good , but do that for refresh the 'icons'] then log off, log in then go again to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display select Small 100 % then log off, log in . perchaps it helps.
there also exist programs like iconpackager[not freeware] or similar ones like icontweaker[freeware] [link] , that enable you using your custom icons.
also there some free utilities see those [link]

This is truely amazing. I can't possibly imagine just how much dedication went into this project. I am impressed.
I wanted to know if this could be installed on a second profile on my windows 7 64 bit......and be able to toggle from my 1st profile (windows 7 64 bit)...and be able to have your (OS X) running for when I change to my 2nd profile?

no, from what i know , but you can do this if you make another partition to your primary hard disk, so having a second windows 7 partition.
when restart you choose which you want. [no restarting method perchaps its possible via using VMware Virtualization ]

I didn't think so... I was thinking the same of you, if I partition it will work fine.
I will try this and let you know my progress.

you can not have stripes , icons etc if you dont change system files.
explorer.exe --> start button
explorerframe.dll -> back and forward buttons + others
shell32.dll --> icons+control panel pictures + others
imageres.dll --> icons+log in screen + others
-----------
about ownership of the files see first this [i give it to instructions]: [ example of taking ownership to a random system file
[link] internet explorer compatible]
before doing anything replacing files go to Control pane [view by category] -->so Go to Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts and press the folder 'Change User Account Control Settings' set the slider to the next window Never Notify. restart
----------
there are some freeware applications who enable you to do all this replacement of the system files very ease, though as i use 32 bit, i dont know how they work to 64 bit. so: [link]
remember that in a 64 bit system file you must rename the old system files and copy paste the new ones as :
from this 64 bit pac : we 'replace' those (ExplorerFrame.dll, imageres.dll, shell32.dll) located to located in C:\Windows\System32 or ( explorer ) to located in C:\Windows must replaced from files i give you to this pack.
Those system files located to c:\windows\syswow64 must replace from 32bit files that existed on my pack for the 32bit version so you must also download those files from my
Macos X for Windows 7 - 32bit [link] , copy them from folder '32 bit Dll files' to your c:\windows\syswow64 folder.

restart for a second time.
sometimes , to my system aLSO, the themes are not changing , i have to restart.
but there is another reason . if you restart and the styles are not changing is because :its possible that some microsoft updates[or the using of the modified shell32.dll] making the uxcore application stop working.( uxcore is the small application that makes the windows system enable to use non microsoft themes/visual styles)
[now becarefull you MUST not reinstall at once the uxcore.if you do its possible the problem remained.]
So, go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features amd UNINSTALL first the uxcore application, then restart.now INSTALL uxcore application, then restart.
thats it.
