this is a great tutorial, i love how you made me do it myself instead of just copying like many others do. i think it is much better that way because i can pretty much copy anything but actually coming up with my own ideas was slightly harder, in a good way.
only one question, how do you do the stars? they are really intense in the middle then fade out to really soft... i tried a couple of ways but they look sort of dodgy.

I just finished reading through it for the first time.I always read a tut all the way though before even THINKING about beginning one.
It was pretty informative and I liked the little pro tips strewn across it; nice job.
There was one thing I couldn't help but notice, though. And that was spelling errors.. But meh! I still knew exactly what you were talking about and it didn't affect my ability to read it.
And, finally, might I say, what a spectacular outcome. Your work astounds me.

I know about the spelling errors, I've seen 'em more than once hehe. I'm just to lazy to change 'em now. I'll leave it there as a token for my personality .
Glad you found it interesting to read anyways.

This is great
The only question I have, maybe I missed it in the tut itself, but the stars that are in the final piece, do you draw those? Or is that a photo? What brush did you use for that?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ladyrapid In reply to WulfstanX [2010-01-25 14:28:12 +0000 UTC]
I draw those and I just click a small dot then click with a big thick soft brush around it

This is pure win, cause im planning on doing a large piece in which one of my characters is leaping from a space craft onto another space craft, and it needs an epic background. Thanks!
