Here's a sample video test as I'm still trying to get higer rez vids up. DA only allows 200MB at a time so it's not the greatest but it's something. It's still pretty tricky so just hang in there

The ones that come with the pencil HB. As an artist try all types of lead and see what works for you

my art teechers tried teeching me this stuff but it never worked for me.

It's all about putting in your time into sketching mainly. Sketching will allow you to understand why certain things work, after awhile your own style will develop based one what you like seeing. Like Toons, comic or realism. It's a vast field of freedom in art, have fun and don't be confined by what anyone tells you on how to do things. Sometimes Art Teachers can be asses, not saying yours is. But they can be harsh because you like animation and they don't. I've heard stories and it's sad really. But do you and sketch often and for more free vids I have a ton in my gallery, check'em out

oh no u dont get it. lol i draw the pix outline first without having to do the hole blocking out and erasing and stuff. mainly i star with the eye then it all kinda spirals out from there. ^_^ iv been drawing sents i was 2 and my mom always said my room was a fire hasered becose of it lol. oh and yah most of them were ass holes. and dont even get me started on fullsail. bigest waist of money ever >.<' maybe ill do wat u did and post a vid of how i draw. id live to hear what u think of it ^_^ and thanx for being so friendly and saportive.

Heh, FullSail, I was a student in 98'. It was okay, I was there when they began the whole digital media boom. Lets just say it wasn't as fun as it is nowadays but that's another story

What you say about line pressure and penciling applies exactly to quill and brush! You are inking with graphite when you pencil! (No wonder your "roughs" are so clean!) Very helpful.

What's with that line of white that under the shading. If the light source is from above wouldn't that all be darkened?
