The answer can be found in the article presentedΒ above.

I prefer the one shown above. But to each their own right? That's the whole point of being able to customize a UI.

BldrDemoness [2013-08-07 03:29:58 +0000 UTC]

Um, is there anyway you'd be willing to share your color.txt file? I wanted my MMD interface to look just like how you have it, but when I messed around with all the color values(for a couple hours, mind you) I screwed up royally...if not the file itself, at least a screenshot of the file's changed content? Please?

Trackdancer In reply to BldrDemoness [2013-08-07 03:59:03 +0000 UTC]

The exact setting used to make the screen above is at the end of the link given in the description. I just copied that and pasted it into my color.txt cuz I'm that lazy ...

littlelionalicious [2013-08-05 11:07:56 +0000 UTC]

So in order to get mmeffect for this one, do you have to do the same thing like you had to do for the previous versions?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Trackdancer In reply to littlelionalicious [2013-08-05 15:50:41 +0000 UTC]

Yep, you need to install the main MME engine.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Leygesp In reply to Trackdancer [2013-08-23 16:28:58 +0000 UTC]

and how do you do that exactly ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trackdancer In reply to Leygesp [2013-08-23 17:01:26 +0000 UTC]

Install the MME engine?

That's really easy, actually. Once you download the zip package, just unpack the entire contents into MMD's main folder. When you start MMD, it will automatically detect the presence of the engine and you'll have a new button to access the MME editor at the top right of the MMD UI.

If you need to download the MME engine, you should be able to find a link to it on VPVwiki. The current version as of this writing is version 0.36.

I put the same screen size as in the other MMD version but I can't save my pics, it just saves a white pic with nothing on it. Can you help me please? I have tried a lot of sizes but it didn't work ; w ;

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trackdancer In reply to ElmoIsMINE [2013-07-29 17:52:42 +0000 UTC]

I'm sorry but I cannot help with hardware conflicts; but what it sounds like to me is that you might not have enough available memory for rendering.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ElmoIsMINE In reply to Trackdancer [2013-07-29 19:47:56 +0000 UTC]

omg yes, it works now! Thank you!

The description in the article specifically tells you where the "color.txt" file is located.

Go ahead and upgrade to 8.03 - it gets rid of some glitches in the earlier version.

Yep, it's a very nice version of MMD.

HandofCreation0 [2013-07-20 20:24:33 +0000 UTC]

Gah, now it seems this MMD can neither load previously saved .PMMs properly, nor can it remember what MME effects were used like MMD 7.94 did.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Trackdancer In reply to HandofCreation0 [2013-07-20 21:18:09 +0000 UTC]

It works fine on my system.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

HandofCreation0 In reply to Trackdancer [2013-07-20 21:24:36 +0000 UTC]

It must have been just that one picture. I do notice that it no longer remembers MME effects though.

Unless that's just from older saves.

Idk, anyways thanks for telling me about the g key thing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trackdancer In reply to HandofCreation0 [2013-07-20 21:40:23 +0000 UTC]

I did notice that it does have issues with files saved with previous versions of MMD. But no biggy, except I have to redo my template files for stages and such. Also some MME effects don't work with the newer MMD versions.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

HandofCreation0 In reply to HandofCreation0 [2013-07-20 20:27:04 +0000 UTC]

Eh nevermind, must have been just that one picture.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

HandofCreation0 In reply to HandofCreation0 [2013-07-20 20:27:45 +0000 UTC]

Still doesn't remember MME effects like it did in the previous version.

HandofCreation0 [2013-07-20 19:06:03 +0000 UTC]

Quick question about this new MMD, is there a way to turn off the way it lets you rotate bones? No matter how you rotate the bones, the axis of rotation stays the same instead of following the bone, which makes doing things such as posing fingers a pain in the ass.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trackdancer In reply to HandofCreation0 [2013-07-20 19:24:14 +0000 UTC]

In all versions of MMD, you can press on the "G" key to toggle between "local" and "global" axis orientation modes. These effect the way the bones correlate to 3D space.

99% of the time you want to be working on a model in "local" mode. Use the global mode for locating models and accessories (attached to dummy bones) in 3D space.

MMD-Nay-PMD [2013-07-20 12:28:16 +0000 UTC]

This is awesome! I did not know you could change it's colours~ Β

I was wondering, can you change the colour of the silver around the model viewing area?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trackdancer In reply to MMD-Nay-PMD [2013-07-20 16:42:38 +0000 UTC]

The bars immediately above and below the model view area definitely can be.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MMD-Nay-PMD In reply to Trackdancer [2013-07-21 13:18:52 +0000 UTC]

Great! I don't suppose you know how to?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trackdancer In reply to MMD-Nay-PMD [2013-07-21 15:15:46 +0000 UTC]

Just isolate the area from the list and specify the colors accordingly.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MMD-Nay-PMD In reply to Trackdancer [2013-08-03 01:47:30 +0000 UTC]

Okay I don't suppose you know what the area is called? Is there a specific name?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trackdancer In reply to MMD-Nay-PMD [2013-08-03 02:14:46 +0000 UTC]

Not off the top of my head. You should be able to figure them out from their titles. For myself, I just got lazy and simply used the script from ~megaten666 's page.
