Funny how your short, albeit thorough, tutorial explains more than the animation and graphic teachers could at my school! *cough*art institute*cough*
Thanks for the excellent tut!

This is so wonderful, thank you so much. I actually just got a scanner today, and photoshop about a week ago, so im figuring stuff as I go and this is amazingly helpful! But I have a question.. on the face, you made the brush look like it was an ink fountain pen..! how did you do that?? everytime I use the brush, it's always a line with the same thickness type thing, and I cant work with it well. help.. pleasee.. lol

well, like, the line it all curvy and such, and you make it curvy and pretty though the brush cant change from thin to thick that fast.. type thing. o_o

Wah! n(_ _)n I'm not so sure... I go over strokes several times to come up with lines like these.

Waiii~~~ Sure! But, hey, what is the org for? Can you fill me in? Like, what are the activities, etc...

skyloreang In reply to twisted666 [2005-09-27 13:50:52 +0000 UTC]
like um... its a bit hard to explain but here goes. I'm one of the original 8 members of Scratch, this new inter high school org hosted by Nautilus Comics. We do seminars, workshops blah blah, and everyhting will be provided for be Nautilus including speakers veneus blah blah... now i decided to create a Scratch SJCS which is linked to the main Scratch (meaning professional speakers etc galore!!!). Ms Alfonso already approved the idea so what we need now are proposals... and i need excellent artists at the moment (in case you don't follow that means YOU) tohelp make the posters to be put up next month. Dianna Wong of HS 3- (sorry forgot wat sec) is doing member checklist. Paul Ang of 3-C is doing the posters, but what i need now is help with the design and a LOGO. I asked Hans to think of one but it wud be great if u can give ideas too. Now as for activities... we will need a portfolio for next year since that's when Scratch becomes official, and since Scratch is for all arts (including art, writing, photography, filmography, performance arts) it was all based on Nautilus comics.... which makes comics. sop our portfolio will be a comic book next year. My plan is to have a story writing contest as to, well, you know... the winner will have his story translated to comic version by either scratch or with professional help form Nautilus(if they agree). Next is a two-three day workshop at december, featuring talks on anything... painting, writing, digital arts etc... we can get speakers from Nautilus no prob, guys hu know the trade u know... and finally a comic book room (we will rent a room for a few days) in which not only can people lend in comic books they own, but they can make their own comic books and put it up for public reading. it will then be opened to the public for let's say... a week? or something to that effect... anyway... u interested? if u have further questions ym me if possible at kevs188@yahoo.com or text me 09177926834 or call me 2446722. honestly, Lynse, ur among the best (if not THE best) artist in saint jude i currently know so id be really glad if u cud join

I found it hard to do lineart on photoshop, because the pen sensitivity is not enough... at least for me that is. ^_^; I'd been using the pen tool to do the lineart until my friend told me about OC... but I'd really like to be able to do lineart on photoshop though, since i'm more used to that program

it's a bit of a hassle though... to use pen tool for lineart. especially when you have a whole bunch of curves and details lol~ but it's really cool. it'll be great for mouse users not so much for tablet users (like me o.O... I really rather just draw with my tablet, but I have a tendency to mess up on those long curves) lol~
